Nasser Al-Khelaifi is Chairman of beIN MEDIA GROUP, President of Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, and a proud member of the Global Humanitarian Action Executive Alliance (GHAEA).

As well as founding beIN MEDIA GROUP and being the President of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi is the Chairman of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF), the Qatar Squash Foundation (QSF) and is a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, amongst other roles across world sport and entertainment.

His rise to the top of the sports, entertainment and media industry followed a successful career as a professional tennis player, including playing in the Davis Cup for Qatar. Following retirement from tennis, Nasser Al-Khelaifi started his business career in 2003 as Director of Rights Acquisitions for Al Jazeera Sport, when the channel was first launched. In 2008, he was promoted to General Manager of the Qatari-based sports channel and was also made Chairman of QSI.

In 2014, Al-Khelaifi launched what is now beIN MEDIA GROUP, orchestrating the transition of Al Jazeera Sport into beIN SPORTS. He became the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of beIN MEDIA GROUP, overseeing a global expansion plan that sees beIN’s channels broadcast to audiences in 43 countries globally. As Chairman of beIN MEDIA GROUP, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has led a growth strategy to create one of the world’s most successful sports and entertainment brands, providing significant investment for coverage, competitions and grassroots sport around the world.

As the Chairman of beIN MEDIA GROUP, which is also the majority owner of Hollywood film studio MIRAMAX, Al-Khelaifi has used his extensive knowledge of TV production, distribution, and media rights to support GHAEA’s ambitions and projects since the beginning of 2020.

So far, beIN MEDIA GROUP has partnered with GHAEA to help create and share accurate, critical and engaging information surrounding the COVID-19 response. Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, beIN MEDIA GROUP has broadcast factual messages and guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) to millions of people in the Arabic, French, English and Spanish speaking world; utilising beIN’s TV, digital and social platforms and talent. For example, beIN was one of the biggest global partners of the WHO’s historic ‘One World: Together At Home’ virtual concert during the global lockdown.

Alongside this, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been instrumental in bringing other partners such as Paris Saint-Germain to the aid of the WHO. Thanks to Al-Khelaifi, Paris Saint-Germain created engaging safety messages to combat COVID-19, with some of the biggest stars in world football including Kylian Mbappé supporting the #SafeHands challenge and #WearAMask week.

Al-Khelaifi said: “We are proud to support the Global Humanitarian Action Executive Alliance and play our part in the important work of this organisation, using our skills and resources to support the UN’s initiatives to combat some of the biggest challenges facing humanity.”
